Who actually checks the ingredients in baby care?

In baby care, safety is everything. The growing number of allergies and intolerances unsettles many parents. You care about top quality, especially when buying care products for your Frischling. But how can you be sure a baby care really delivers what it promises?

In Germany, conventional cosmetics are governed by the Cosmetics Regulation (KVO). Ecological and ethical aspects are largely untouched there. Animal testing for raw materials is not generally banned. And the term “natural cosmetics” alone is not legally protected. Anyone who really wants safety has to look deeper.

Naturally safe. vujo Frischling under NATRUE control

vujo Frischling submits to the strict control of the independent certification body NATRUE. NATRUE is an international non-profit organisation based in Brussels that defines and audits transparent, globally valid standards for natural cosmetics. The seal is one of the strictest in Europe.

Every formulation is examined in detail before certification, every batch is traceable. What does not meet the NATRUE criteria does not make it into our products.

What NATRUE guarantees

Five criteria every vujo product must meet

The NATRUE certification is more than a label on the tube. It is a binding standard with clear rules that every single formulation and every batch must meet.

  • At least 70% natural raw materials

NATRUE requires a defined minimum share of natural and nature-derived ingredients. At vujo Frischling, a high share comes additionally from certified organic farming.

  • No synthetic additives

No synthetic colourings or fragrances, no petroleum-based ingredients, no silicones, no genetic engineering. The ban is binding, not voluntary.

  • Sustainable supply chains

From raw material to tube: NATRUE-certified manufacturers prove that their supply chains conserve the environment and resources. This transparency is checked regularly.

  • Recyclable packaging

The packaging is assessed together with the formulation. Environmentally responsible, recyclable materials wherever possible are mandatory, not a bonus.

  • No animal testing, including for raw materials

While the EU Cosmetics Regulation bans animal testing on the finished product, NATRUE rules out animal testing along the entire value chain. Including for individual raw materials.
